Postjam update 1.1, now with scoring!
Hello, this is Axel (@lapspider45) here with a brand new update! This minor update contains a few additions but mostly bugfixes. Read on for a list of the changes.
But first, I’d like to thank everyone who played, rated, and gave feedback on our game. After finishing it and finally submitting it to the jam, we were pretty happy with what we had made. But we didn’t expect this amount of praise. Your comments really made us believe in our game and ourselves. Being ranked in the top 100, and getting 17th place in the “Fun” category really was more than we could have wished for. Personally this has given me a lot more motivation to work on my solo project (wink wink), and doing more game jams of course! Without further ado, here is the changelog!
Features:
- added a score system!
- highscores are saved on your computer
- death animation for the boss!
- added the option to pause the game (try pressing ESC or P)
- full controller mapping (your mileage may vary)
- audio improvements
- improved bomb particle effects
- ability to return to main menu after completing a run
Bugfixes:
- velocity not resetting when hitting a wall
- progression continuing after player is dead
- some graphics appearing on the wrong layer
- incorrect positional audio for boss
- and more!
So, there we have it. This game is likely not the last you will see from us. For EJECT BOMBIN’, we already have a small content update in the works; look forward to that. In the meantime, how high can you score?
